What actually matters in Dunkirk
- Dunkirk is on the lakeshore at 600 feet, and Fredonia — three miles inland and 150 feet higher — is a different snow regime and a different utility. That is one of the sharpest short-distance contrasts in Western New York.
- National Grid serves Dunkirk while neighboring Fredonia runs a municipal system. Two adjacent communities, completely different incentive eligibility and completely different payback math.
