What actually matters in Albion
- Albion is the Orleans County seat, and the courthouse square historic district carries design review that can rule out a street-facing array. That does not apply in Medina, fifteen minutes west.
- The village sits on the Erie Canal at the centre of the county's muck-farm belt. Open agricultural land immediately outside the village makes ground mounts practical in a way they are not inside the village grid.
